MEET THE TEAM
HOLLIE – CO-OWNER & OPS MANAGER
Originally hailing from Scotland, Hollie spent two years travelling and working around Australia before settling in the High Country. Hollie’s introduction to craft beer was all down to gentle persuasion from Hayden (previously disliking all beer). Nowadays, you’ll find her with a beer glass in hand over everything else.
A firm believer in supporting all things local, Hollie loves spending her spare time scoping out the best new independent, small businesses across the High Country.
HAYDEN – CO-OWNER & TOUR MANAGER
Local to North East Victoria, Hayden was born and raised in the small town of Barnawartha. Hayden has always loved the High Country for its natural beauty and the vast range of outdoor activities that can be enjoyed all year round.
An interest in craft beer began early in adult life however and has evolved over time into a passion. Ingrained Culture was born from this passion, alongside many beers, late nights and long discussions.
Hayden spends his spare time mountain biking, rock climbing and hiking. Alongside sampling, the vast array of craft beer the High Country breweries have on offer.

WHY INGRAINED CULTURE?
Logistically, there are issues in regional Australia when it comes to enjoying craft beer. Many of the breweries are out of town, so visiting them can be difficult without a designated driver. Furthermore, independent craft beer is poorly represented in local bars, restaurants and retail stores. Staying up to date with the latest news, and attending events can be difficult. This is why Ingrained Culture was born.
THE HIGH COUNTRY CRAFT BEER SCENE
Here in the High Country, we have arguably the best regional craft beer scene in Australia. The High Country boasts some of the most innovative and notable breweries in the country. Including some of the most coveted beers (Bridge Road Brewers – Beechworth Pale Ale) and beer events (High Country Hops Festival).
With fresh alpine water, perfect hop growing conditions and fantastic local produce, it’s no wonder there are more and more breweries opening all the time. Victoria’s High Country is the ideal location for producing premium quality beer from fresh local ingredients.
Despite the large and ever-growing number of independent breweries, many High Country beers fly under the radar. Many of our favourite local breweries - despite their many accolades and achievements - remain relatively unknown and unrepresented in local bars and retailers. We're here to change that.
